Well, what can i tell at this point? We (our agency) is going to build our first game. Since now, we did a lot of webdesign, database-, flash- and CDRom-programming. Also we are firm on programming JAVA. For PR-reason the idea of building a game came to our mind. Well i wouldn't tell much about the idea at this point, but it would be a "hunt'em down"-style game. First we tried JAVA as plattform, but we found it very hard to handle the grfx-programming (not the programming itself, but handling objects, collisions, etc.), so i looked for an alternative ....... and i found Blitz3D. After a few tests, we decided to change plattform (pitty for me, cause i like JAVA :-) ) OK, i bought Blitz3D and a few extensions and tools, like TerraEd, BFC and the Swift Shadowsystem and startet. Well at the moment, i am building the Level and Library-Editor, after i did the core-programming for the game-engine. Why the Editors first? Simple. I was fed up with editing the level-files by hand, so i decided to build some tools. OK. CU TheIceman |
