First steps.. well, not the first really.(Posted 2008-11-27)
After not completing the development of a couple of adventuregames in about 15 years of programming, all ideas I got in this period, come togehter now.

I am creating a simple Point & Click adventure game engine with an even simpler scripting language (not compiled) based on textfiles. The language will evolve during development. Nothing fancy, just whats needed for the game.

The game itself will feature a small alien, lost on our planet. We are restricting ourselfs to a small palette and possibilities in the game. Just to get a bit of a retro and cartoony feel to the game. And as we have leared in the old days of programming (MSX, C64, Amiga): restrictions give you sometimes wonderfull ideas to get things done. Isn't that the problem in a lot of games and movies these days: big budgets, endless possibilities... they give us beautifull pictures but 9 out of 10 times a terrible story and too complex (and often not working) gameplay.
