I was under the impression that XNA projects have access to 32 channels? But from what I can tell (by playing lots of sounds quickly) there are only 8 channels? Is it a case of there are 32 channels, but only 8 can be active at any one time?

Are you able to shed any light on this Mark? I'm not fussed if it is only 8 channels, and am just wondering really.

What platform are you doing XNA development on? Xbox360? Windows PC?

Did you try the code on another platform and it worked to confirm it was XNA related?

If Xbox360 related, did you ask around in the AppHub?

Hiya Rex,

Only tested on PC for now but it will be for Xbox 360.

Only other target I've tried is HTML5, but I know that has limited channels already.

I did have a look round the app hub but couldn't see a clear indication as to the answer!
