This may also mean that they will no longer restrict based on geolocation.

So developing basically everywhere but publishing limited still. Plus the waving is only temporary.

This is Sony! They do things by the book based on import/export laws, and Google/Apple didn't support every country from the start either. There are still many devs, such as us, who really want to target Vita/PS3. More people will buy Monkey based on that too.

MikeHart(Posted 2013) [#4]
Based on what Mark has stated resently, I would not buy Monkey for PSM dev at all!

Soap(Posted 2013) [#5]
Recently? This? http://www.monkeycoder.co.nz/Community/posts.php?topic=4894

Half of the restriction was removed. It's free again and open to everyone to develop and test for PSM.

More countries supported have been added since first release: https://en-support.psm.playstation.net/app/answers/detail/a_id/41/related/1

Don't you already own a license... if Monkey continued again to support PSM officially wouldn't that be more appealing to people interested in targeting Vita/PS3? That's what I'm saying.

Time for Blitz Research to expand and open an Australian subsidiary?

MikeHart(Posted 2013) [#7]
Soap, Mark stated that he has stopped developing a PSM target. Unless he will restart it one day, there is no official supported target. If I would have to buy a tool for PSM dev, atm I would not buy Monkey for this. Point blank.

Soap(Posted 2013) [#8]
Is my English confusing you? It should be clear that I am we'll aware official development stopped. What I am saying is that both the situation has changed, and that obviously if it was officially supported again people would buy Monkey for it as they have in the past. You do not sound like the target audience.

Neuro(Posted 2013) [#9]
Well...in that case, hope Mark picks up on it again then. I'm not giving up hope on it :).

MikeHart(Posted 2013) [#10]
Soap, You talk about IF IF IF. I talk about the present.

IF that happens, then I would buy it because Monkey is an awesome tool. But so far the development has stopped.

SLotman(Posted 2013) [#11]
Bah - Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo can bite me. None of them allow brazilian based developers to publish on their systems.

Soap(Posted 2013) [#12]
MikeHart, knowing you wouldn't buy something isn't useful. Knowing you would is. It's great you think more people will buy Monkey if PSM is officially supported again - that's what I said from the beginning.

SLotman, get a publisher, or get legal representation in a country which they support to publish from. It's possible.

MikeHart(Posted 2013) [#13]
Yeah you are right. I should keep my nose out of these topics. Will do so now.

smilertoo(Posted 2014) [#14]
Is PSM being developed again now?

dragon(Posted 2014) [#15]
it is now officially supported...

Lugato(Posted 2014) [#16]
