Cannot compile

Monkey Targets Forums/iOS/Cannot compile

Raul(Posted 2012) [#1]
Hello all,

I am new to Monkey and also to iOS and Apple :)

I installed Monkey on my OS X Lion virtual machine and tried to compile and run a sample. I received this message:

Error: No developer directory found at /Volumes/Xcode/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer. Run /usr/bin/xcode-select to update the developer directory path.

I have no idea what to do.

I have the last version of xcode installed. Blitzmax is working ok..

I think I read somewhere that you must have a Mac to compile to iOS. But I can't remember where.

Well, of course. That's why I use a MacOS virtual machine (with xcode and ios sdk installed)

I searched the forums and I found this topic: http://www.monkeycoder.co.nz/Community/posts.php?topic=2506#24807

This solve the problem..

My monkey wont work on a vmware osx, needed a hackintosh. I'll try the fix posted above later as it would save a lot of rebooting.

@smilertoo: works perfectly. tested with the last version of xcode.
