| Is there a way to upload and run unsigned apps on a rooted iPod Touch without recourse to itunes? Is a mac required to do this? Can we build iOS binaries on a Monkey installation on Windows and then upload them to the iPod for testing? |

| IIRC Only jailbroken iPods have this 'functionality', I dont know about compiling for windows though |

| You have to use Mac OS, but you can do it via VMware for instance running on a Windows system (a virtual Mac so to say). You need XCode installed as well. Mac OS is pretty cheap with $25 only. You must have a dev license even for testing on own devices or a jailbroken one. |
