It works fine on my iPod 2nd Gen and iPad 1st Gen.

You can select the iOS version when compiling the Monkey project in Xcode.

You can select the iOS version when compiling the Monkey project in Xcode.
It works fine on my iPod 2nd Gen and iPad 1st Gen.
You will also need the relevant iPhone SDK. And the set the correct architecture for the device.
