Posting Games

Monkey Targets Forums/HTML5/Posting Games

Hi all. I'm fairly new to Monkey X. About a year now. I am still learning coding and exploring the fantomEngine. I have a game finished that I did for a programming college class in Monkey X and I wanted to post it. The thing is, I am not an artist so the sprites I use are a medley of images from Google images. The music is all from freesound.org so no problem there but would I be violating rights if I posted my game that uses sprites not designed by me or WulfTung games?

Try it! This place is so inconsistent. I posted a game with copyright images and it was removed from for that exact reason but lately a few persons have posted games with copyright media and are still available. So who knows. Personally I think some of us are just being discriminated against ;).
But Honestly it shouldn't be allowed.

incase you didn't know, there is this website:
http://opengameart.org
you can use the art as long as you follow the license rules. some art is public domain. some have licenses that you must follow if you decide to use it.

Well discrimination isn't right. I will be sure to check out opengameart.org. Thanks, Jesse.

We're not lawyers here, just do the right thing.

Make your own 8-bit nintendo style graphics if you can't find free art to use.
People here are smart enough to be impressed with gameplay over gloss. :)
