| For those that have this issue when compiling with visual studio 2010 if you download the update from http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=23691 it fixes the issue here. Apparently there is loads of talk about it and I thought I would post it here in case anyone missed it :) |

| If this is the CVTRES.EXE bug, turning off incremental linking worked for me, and saved me a long download session... |

| Ah the incremental linking didn't work for me so i had to download the update |

| I had the COFF issue aftter adding a resource.rc to my project. I found in Microsoft forum that it could happen if you install vs2010 AND vs2012. In that case just delete (rename) cvtres.exe in programfiles/...vs2010.../VC/... (I don't remember the exact path). It worked for me. |
