GLFW on Windows 8?

I am attempting to build and run in glfw on Windows 8 Developer Preview.

The compile works fine but when it comes time to open the window I receive the following error:

Failed to select a GLFWFBConfig from the alternatives
Unable to find a usable pixel format
Failed to create GLFW window
TRANS FAILED

Is there any fix or workaround for this? Foolishly I thought building and running would work on Win8 beta. Obviously I can still test in HTML5 or just go back to Win7, I have many options here.

Big Jim had the same error message awhile ago and what I found (and Mark suggested) was to check your graphics drivers.

Can do, I haven't installed new Nvidia drivers since the Win8 installation.

Didn't work, went back to 7. I need to write Metro apps but I am going to have to wait til their next build, the installation of 8 also bashed sound drivers under 7.

Well I'll add my two pence worth. Got the my mine actually running using GLFW on Win8 after updating the drivers, but I'm not getting any sound any one got any ideas?

Sound works here on mine, running the last RTM version of Windows 8 on VMware Fusion 5.
