Virus Detector False Positive

Monkey Targets Forums/Desktop/Virus Detector False Positive

When I compile to GLFW, I get a warning from Spybot Search and Destroy saying that the executable is infected with win32.polipos.kl.

Pretty sure this is a false positive.

Anyone else run into this?

One interesting note: There are other apparent false positives for this trojan that people are talking about, in something called "monkeymedia" which is totally unrelated to our Monkey.

Perhaps there is a string including the word "monkey" that goes into the exe that is triggering the virus detector?

Yep. Same here. That's just the heuristic in those scanners.

Bitdefender's firewall blocks any monkey app saying it's malicious.

It is always worth sending your monkey app to the makers of these virus checkers to speed up the process of getting them removed from the checker.
