Running the Android Simulator on OSX

Everything compiles fine in TED but it doesn't open up the emulator with the following error message:
install:
[echo] Installing /Users/markus/Developer/monkey/bananas/skn3/tweening/tweendemo.build/android/bin/MonkeyGame-debug.apk onto default emulator or device...
[exec] error: device not found
[exec] - waiting for device -
Do I need to install an emulator or anything? |

| You have to start the emulator yourself. |

| How do I do that? I have a few executables in my android-sdk/tools folder, but I guess each one of those is a command line tool. Is there a GUI? |
