Entourage Pocket as an Android test machine

Monkey Targets Forums/Android/Entourage Pocket as an Android test machine

Does anyone have experience with the enTourage Pocket eDGe? I'm seeing Woot has them on sale today for $150. I know it's Android 1.6 but I'm wondering if that would be enough for a test device.

Any thoughts opinions out there?

Thanks

At the moment you need Android 2.1 at least for Monkey (SDK target 7). But Mark is going to change this as far as I know...

Thanks for the info Xaron.

Looks like the Edge will have an Android 2.2 update sometime soon. (I hope). I bought one and will report back when I get it and the update installed.

You also could get a Nook Color. ;^)

I'm using the Monkey/Nook Color combo and its been very smooth going ... really no different from using Monkey on an iDevice.

BTW, its not a rooted Nook Color: As part of their dev program your given the necessary files/info to open up the device for app development.

Very cool. Thanks for the info. I'm getting my Entourage late this week from Woot, and I'll be upgrading it to Android 2.1. My only concern right now is the speed of the device.
