Hello,
Our crowdfunding campain for my last project 2dark is just started: http://fr.ulule.com/2dark
The alpha prototype of the game that you can see in the video is done with MonkeyX.
The (yet) still pictures on the web page are real screenshots of the new engine, all done with MonkeyX and Harmony from devolonter (Mungo)

You can follow the dev on http://www.2dark.cc

Looks awesome!

Fred(Posted 2014) [#3]
Thanks ziggy!
oups, I forgot to say that devolonter and myself are using Jungle IDE :)

Looks good Fred, I'll have to remember to back this.

Will the Voxel Editor be available to use for other projects or is it tied in to 2Dark?

Good luck with this,

Kev

Thanks, a lot of features like animations with interpolated deformations will be dedicated to the game engine. But as the tool generates text description files, they can be used for your own needs: basic 3D voxel model are easy to extract.

Wow, I had no idea devolonter's 'Mungo' fork and his 'Harmony' module had become this advanced. I might just have to seriously look into this at some point. This looks very promising.

Just saw the news on Facebook. My jaw dropped. Normal maps, voxel based characters, volumetric lightning. You guys have it going. Awesome!

Pierrou(Posted 2014) [#8]
Very exciting! Some people complain about Monkey lacking this or that, and they certainly have the right to do so, but it's good to see that a few talented coders are using it anyway to create something really new and ambitious.

Wow, just Wow!

As there was no option for gloomywood coder I signed up as a gloomywood artist.

! Without words!
Compliments! (both to the gfx artist and to programmers!)

Most interesting Monkey-X game to come out in quite a long time.
I wish you all the luck and maybe get this thing on Steam if you can.

And of course, please promote Monkey-X wherever possible. :)

Fred(Posted 2014) [#12]
Thank you very much all of you!
Yes Steam is one of the main targets
I talk about MonkeyX as much as I can, I'll also do a small conference soon: http://www.eigd.org/en/content/program

skid(Posted 2014) [#13]
Woot you made it!

Congratulations on your success Fred, I hope development goes well for you.

Fred(Posted 2014) [#14]
Thank you skid, and welcome aboard!
(I just had a look at nsynth :) I like wireframe experimentations: www.ludoid.fr/WireFred )

And also thank you to all who supported us!

So how did you guys get it ported over to the PS4? Blitworks?
