Pushing your device to the MAX with next gen low-res graphics and 8bit audio.

Hoping to get it done and release by the end of the month. It's a puzzle game and no it's not Sokoban =D

I might put out a HTML5 demo in a few days, waiting for my IPAD2 and IPOD to arrive which should be middle of next week.

Struggling to find the right sound for the game, It's a gentle puzzle game, no time limit so there's no sense of urgency. Four themes; Woods, Desert, Dungeon and Volcano.

I am thinking something like...

Retro:

or go 8bit:

Can you guys recommend a good site or composer willing to work for beer money?

Looks great - I've been meaning to use those graphics myself for a quick game :)

(BTW can you remind me where to get them?)

Ah here they are:

Yeah it's a cool set originally made for desktop dungeons, I've spoken to the guy to see if I can use them in the game, I plan to release it free but with adds so I guess it could be classes as commercial? which is against the terms on his website. Might even twist his arm into making the title screen graphic :p

so I guess it could be classes as commercial?

Yep!
which is against the terms on his website.

Yep! But you can pay for them under another license if he is happy to do so.
