| I'm just starting to realise how many versions of Visual Studio there seem to be - one for desktop, one for windows phone ... Right now I seem to have about five installed - 2012, 2013, desktop, ... *argh* So, assuming you were starting from scratch, which Visual Studios do you need to build for Windows Desktop, Windows 8 and Windows phone - and which is for which ... And do you also need any additional SDK's? Thanks, Lindsay |

| For windows 8 you need VS2012 pro or utlimate... for windows phone 8 you need the windows phone 8 sdk. Desktop don't need visual studio... MXDevinstall can install this for you. it installs the ultimate version for win-8... |
