Metro Target question.

| The Metro target, having not tested it myself and not having windows 8 installed..... Will this become the target to use for creating apps for windows phone, as well as windows 8, or will the phone still use the xna target, and are they or will they be compatible in any way ? |

| from what i've read on the msdn forums, it seems that WP8 will not be compatible with WP7. If they are breaking compatibility, then my guess is that it will need two targets. One for XNA (7), the other for Metro(8). |

| Taiphoz, Under the new platform, moving forward XNA (whilst it can be used) will no longer be developed - C++ has replaced XNA for Win8 and WP8 (DirectX based). The benefit of this will be the ability to use existing 3d engines, products and iOS and Android code. From what i've read, the majority of c++ code can the re-used with a bit of work for required for the specific platform ie. screen size. |
