The 'Official' IDE

Monkey Forums/Monkey Programming/The 'Official' IDE

I know that Monk is shipped with Monkey and has become the 'official' IDE... but looking back over Mark's blog, he talks about an 'official' IDE written in the language (Monkey) itself...

The 'official' IDE will be a custom job written in the language itself. However, it should be usable enough (well, I'm using it) and it will at least run *everywhere*.

Just wondering if there is any chance of seeing it in action?

I think a forum entry somewhere suggested this being bit of a waste of time and Simon amended the BlitzMax IDE instead.

The "official" IDE was very very basic, had a graphic UI without mouse support, with a generell look like the the DOS IDE's from the turbo pascal times. Without the DOS windows. There is nothing you will miss about it.
