Hi all,

I work on the port of the famous ParticleCandy for Blitz3D from X-Pressive. You might remember it? Unfortunately he switched to the "dark side" with Corona SDK...

BUT...

Luckily I've got in contact with the author and he agreed to publish this port as open source. Great, mhh?

Current state: Released
Known issues: 3d sound still missing

So here it is: http://code.google.com/p/particlecandy
A demo video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=417A4lE0TyY

For some kind of a docu: http://www.x-pressive.com/ParticleCandy/

That is great news! How has your experience with miniB3D going? You have used it a good bit already, correct?

Xaron(Posted 2012) [#4]
True. I have the impression that Adam will start to hate me. LOL.

Still a lot of issues there but nothing that big.

Nice work! I was wondering about porting that as well ( I also own a copy ) Can't wait to mess about with this :D

Xaron(Posted 2012) [#7]
Thanks. Let me know when you find any issues.

I have to wait how this performs on my Android device till Adam and/or Mark do these texture fixes. There are probably some optimization possibilities as well.

dude! nice work...

Wow, just found this, great work Xaron(and thanks Mike!).

Xaron(Posted 2013) [#11]
You're welcome! :)

Is there a problem in the rotation of some of the particles in certain demos? The water fall has certain particles that look like they should be rotating but aren't, also the sparks particles don't rotate in that demo too?

Xaron(Posted 2013) [#13]
Yes, there is a problem but I haven't found the root cause yet. The code is the same as in the original so I guess there are some differences in Minib3d compared to Blitz3d.

Sammy(Posted 2013) [#14]
OK, thanks for the heads-up Xaron, I'll have a little look and see if I can spot what the problem is.
