I have been thinking about Metro of late, and the more I look at it, the more I think it's the best idea Microsoft has had for a very long time, and their best hope to offer up viable competition to the iStore and Apple.

So, to my question at hand, is it time to upgrade my Monitor to a touch screen device to take advantage of the Metro Touch interface or should I just stay with the mouse.

Has anyone made the move to metro yet via the preview ? and if so how are you finding it ?

I don't believe in the success of touch screen devices for PC.
For tablets yes, but not PC. Try to work for a longer time
with touch and you will get a gorilla arm

Me either. Surely you're arms are going to be dropping off after a couple of hours of pawing at your monitor?

On the PC side I think you need to have either a touchpad or a mouse that supports gestures. I really like metro for tablets and phones, but I'm not so sure about the PC. And this is coming from someone that likes the interface.

I was thinking more along the lines of, using its touch capabilities to help with writing metro apps, and other apps for other platforms that use touch.
