Where are the Nvidia Shields?

I know they had a big recall, but I cant seem to find any for sale (new). Nvidia's site is out of stock. Anyone know whats up with Nvidia Shield tablets and should I wait for Nvidia Shield 2 rumored out next year?

Looking for a gaming tablet. :) One that likes mojo2 lighting.

Thanks,

If you are wanting this just for mojo2 dev any recent android/ios tablet + bluetooth gamepad would probably work. I've tested mojo2 on some devices 3-4 years old and they ran fine.

Surface Pro 4 might be good enough for you too if you also want to play other games.

At least on the tablet I have now which is fairly new using lighting on it run pretty slow. The demo here gets about 15 FPS when running it with a projection matrix of 854x480 (which should speed it up).

So here I get really poor performance which may be attributed to the tablet. I would like to get a baseline using the above code or even reworking it for some kind of performance test. It would be enlightening to see how various tablets perform with mojo2 lighting using a demo as a baseline.

Edit - Which I am willing to do and host (APK) if anyone is interested.

Instead of getting sidetracked with a second device maybe check out the android profiler tools to see what you can do with your current base line. I assume you already have enable disable menu to compare performance with and without different light combinations?

@skid

The best it can do is with one light around 22 FPS (in modified demo above). On this particular tablet performance drops substantially with mojo2 (verses mojo1) and that probably indicates that this tablet is not supporting OpenGL ES 2.0 (fully or correctly) or whatever Mark is using. A good example of this is draw image performance (outside of lighting/Rendering). Compared to mojo1, mojo2 on my tablet performs half as well.

So at this point I have to believe my tablet is just not up to spec when it comes to supporting mojo2.

Hence the search for better. ;)

Not sure about the tablet but the Nvidia Shield TV has caught my attention quite a bit lately...

When I was checking their site for a tablet I noticed it. Will have to take a look. ;)
