Microsoft unveils Windows 10 operating system

There was an April fools a while back saying this, but there seem to be a few web sites with new updates banging on about it.

Apparently this version will include a few things that a number of Linux distribution and OS X have had for quite some time now.

It's interesting. I like what I see. For me, the most important change is that it's anounced to be the last (not latest) version of windows. They anounced they won't be releasing any major new version after several years, and instead, they'll keep updating this version so it's always kept current. We're suposed to see a new updating mechanism that will allow to install a whole new fresh setup of the OS from the windows update system, among other improvements.

Windows 10.1 ... 10.2 .... 10.3 etc. like what apple does. Now all they need to do is make it free, like what apple does and I'd be on-board. They can pull an income from the store they'll integrate.

It's already stated it'll be free for all windows 8 users, but nothing said about current windows 7 users

I like Win8. I have no problem with their start button and I even use Metro to access some applications. Also the Search function is so good, that I am using it very often.

Even though I have a Macbook Pro, an iPhone and an iPad and I really like to use them, I want to continue use Windows daily because is much to familiar for me. Hope they will also help us (the indie developers) and continue the support for xbox1.
