Adobe Premier is the best imo, but of course it comes at a hefty price, so if you don't already have access to that (work/friends etc) then I'd agree with Taiphoz and say use Windows Movie Maker.

+1, ScreenFlow is an awesome app.

Yeah, another Screenflow user here (shame that Windows users cant get it). Nothing else came close when I compared performance + the built-in editor.

Indeed.. Seriously, if you have a Mac, get that..
It can "screencast" AMAZINGLY well, better than ANYTHING I've used on a PC.
"screencast" is such a terrible name for it, because that brings to mind rubbish PC "screencasts" with 5fps, and offkey audio.
This isn't that.
This is full on (at least) 30fps fullscreen, audio in sync, lovely stuff.
I was amazed that my little Mac Mini was outperforming every other big-box PC I'd ever had.

And then there's the compatibility, too.
You know how you "Import Video", and then have to wait half an hour for the rubbish video editor to import it and convert it..
Screenflow doesn't do that. Screenflow just bloomin' well works!
Drag and drop videos, audio files, images. Anything works. Drag it onto the program, stuff it in the timeline, shuffle it where you want to, add some text, click Play.. Blammo! Job Done.

I cannot recommend it enough.

It's a joyous piece of software, and I'm really glad that I found it.

..but, yeah, you need a Mac for that.

It's expensive but super easy and powerful and the demo might be enough.
