Hello all, I have recently purchased Monkey SDK and am new to the forum. I was very interested in it after seeing and playing New Star Soccer on iOS I have been doing some basic cocos2d apps and iOS apps in the past but found cocos2d to be too overwhelming for my tastes; I'm hoping to use Monkey to make iOS apps but perhaps simple HTML5 or other games too. I used to do Blitz Basic (not Plus) and I'm hoping I can learn and pick up Monkey very fast. I chose Monkey over Corona because I wanted a bit more control and liked the cross-platform ability of Monkey; plus the price was much better too! Anyway, thanks for now.

Welcome! :) I agree, the control Monkey gives you, particularly when interfacing with native code is a big plus.
