Hi all,

I just noticed that Amazon withholds 30% tax if you're not an US resident. :/

So just remember to send them a W-8BEN form to get rid of that. Damn, I hope they pay me that tax amount afterwards... ($600 for August)

I hope they do, but last time I dealt with it I was told that it is not recoupable and if I don't want them to withhold 30% tax I should postpone royalty payment until w8ben is complete.

Wish they would make it as easy as apple, where I just had to cross a checkbox that I live in a country (germany) there I don't need to pay extra taxes to the us because I pay them here already.

If your country has a tax treaty with the USA, you will get your money. IE. You wont have to pay double tax.

Germany has indead a tax treaty with the US. And I never had problems with Apple, Google nor with Microsoft. Only Amazon did withhold tax in my case. :/ Well I got in contact with them, let's see how it works out.
