Everyday there is a free "paid" app. A few days ago it was Plants vs. Zombies. Some real gems have been on the daily rotation so if you are an Android users and you did not know about it then you might want to check it out. Unfortunately, at the moment, it is only available to US residents. |
| ||
Do you know how to get your own apps on their store? |
| ||
I have not checked into myself, but I am guessing the information is readily available somewhere at Amazon. Edit... https://developer.amazon.com/help/faq.html That should help. |

Be aware of GDA warning about Amazon Android Store developers agreement. And yes, like almost everything, it's available only to US residents, doesn't it suck? |
| ||
As far as using the App store - Non dev, The XDA website has an article on a way around that. |
| ||
@anawiki Could you please explain more about GDA warning? |

Some further experience with the amazon appstore: http://shiftyjelly.wordpress.com/2011/08/17/the-dust-has-settled/ The funny part: "The only correspondence we had from them was when we tried to remove our application: Thank you for your message. We need to verify that you are removing the same app(s) from any Similar Services (defined as any Android OS application store which distributes in the U.S. and its territories and possessions) at the same time barring other agreements that may prevent you from listing the app(s) in the Amazon Appstore." If you remove your app from amazon store, you have to remove it from all other stores to. |

I think the best way to deal with Amazon's App Store is to only allow a free demo version, or mid-version, of your app during the app promotion. Not sure if they would allow this. |
