TED crashing...A LOT

Monkey Forums/Monkey Bug Reports/TED crashing...A LOT

Is this a known problem with windows version of TED?

slenkar(Posted 2012) [#2]
do you have very large files?

is there anything you are doing that makes it crash more than usual?

just a couple of random questions

I use Monk mostly, but have never known ted to crash

smilertoo(Posted 2012) [#3]
Just clicking the home icon is enough to crash the app.

slenkar(Posted 2012) [#4]
which OS are you using?

smilertoo(Posted 2012) [#5]
win7x64, all updates/patches.

marksibly(Posted 2012) [#6]
Hi,

Ted is very solid here - win7x64 with all updates too.

Might be a conflict with something you're running?

smilertoo(Posted 2012) [#7]
Still got issues, even when it doesn't crash it seems to stay resident and start throttling one of my cpu cores when i shut it down.

Gerry Quinn(Posted 2012) [#8]
It crashes for me sometimes when I try to kill a build. Otherwise crashes are rare.

Sammy(Posted 2012) [#9]
Fine here.

smilertoo(Posted 2012) [#10]
Its says the error is with QTwebkit4.dll.
This problem is making the monkey tutorials etc impossible to access.

slenkar(Posted 2012) [#11]
which browsers do you have installed?

smilertoo(Posted 2012) [#12]
IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari

byo(Posted 2012) [#13]
By any chance, do you have the Qt library installed?

If yes, could you check if there is a file with the same name under the Windows\System (whatever path that could be in your Windows)?

smilertoo(Posted 2012) [#14]
There's no such dll in windows/system...but given that TED crashes when accessing the built in browser it seems likely that one of the browsers is causing it; any idea which is most likely?

marksibly(Posted 2012) [#15]
Hi,

Is it all the tutorials, or just some, eg: the pdf ones?

smilertoo(Posted 2012) [#16]
its not the tutorials, its the web buttons on ted...home/next/back
