My favourites belong to slightly more recent titles: The Katamari Damacy series has such a broad take of western genres and gets them all wrong in some way. It's a true masterpiece collection of intercultural works. Niers' soundtrack had a lasting affect on me causing me to tear up every time some songs played in my playlist; this lasted a couple of years. Granted a lot of that attachment is probably linked to the game and its wonderful story telling, but on its own the Nier music is some of the most timeless out there. Of course, Franks contributions to the Command and Conquer franchise remain epic to this day. |

@Neuro: Small trivia, the first level (1.10 in your vid) melody is basically a rip of the old sci-fi series Blakes 7 theme tune... |
| ||
hmm...i can definitely hear the similarities on a couple of the notes. But i'm gonna go off on a limb and say that its more "inspired" by it rather than a straight rip. However, its apparent that pretty much all of Sega's Arcade game music are from this : |

Wow, Blake7, the BBC aced that musical score - the program was well ahead of its time. Serverlan ;) http://www.framecaplib.com/annual/b7lib/no08.htm Paperboy, bringing the arcade to your home - I don't think there was ever a 'handlebar' peripheral for the Amiga ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6gFa1TlYaU |
