I'm proud to announce that BraindeaD Games has released his second BlitzMax game: PyraTrapped.
You must escape from the pyramid, dodging the falling blocks to reach the exit of each level.
It features physics (through Farseer) and nice torch light effects (with adjustable detail to keep the game performance).
The game has 24 levels in with increasing difficulty.

It's available for Mac on the Mac App Store:

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pyratrapped/id475606911?l=es&ls=1&mt=12

And for Windows in Indievania store:

Same here. It's rare that I buy a fellow blitzers game, but I'll cheerfully do so
as soon as the windows version comes out :)

Edit: Come to think of it, I've never bought a fellow blitzers game. Feel special ;)

Awesome!

This looks really cool...

For some reason the main character reminds me of Roland on the Ropes:

Hi,
Good vision Therevills! in fact, when I begin to code the game it was a "remake" of spectrum version of roland on the ropes (called "fred", in speccy) one of my favorite games. The player sprite is heavily inspired in it. An animation in 3 images and almost the same pose than the original... no gun this time but a torch.

Fortunately or unfortunately this game is completely different to Roland in the ropes/Fred but maybe a day I will finish the remake I was doing of it.

The windows version of the game is being evaluated for publication in indievania... I sent it a week ago... hope in a few days the game will be available.

Best regards

Sorry for the delay.
Thanks!

WERDNA(Posted 2011) [#12]
oh spiffy!

I won't even bother with the demo if it's only $1.99. I shall be downloading it tonight :)

I'll give you some feedback as soon as I play it.

Finally had the freetime to buy it :)

Very canny little game, as Dabz would say!

The first few levels are pretty basic and not a ton of fun, but the game really picks
up around level 5 or so and becomes quite interesting and challenging. Made it
to level 13 before all my continues were used up. I'll give it another try next time
I have some free time ;)

Congrats, and well done!

The Ineffable Jose Ruiz

Werdna, thanks for buying and especially for comment.
Yes, the first levels are easy to get training, then it is a little harder. You're in level 13? Itsn't easy.
I'm glad you liked it!

Best regards.
