I apologise if I've missed something obvious, but...

You say that Defenstar is temporarily discounted, but you don't mention the price here, on the front of your web site or even on the Defenstar product page. It's not until I clicked on the 'Buy Now' button that it told me what I might be paying.

It's only out of sheer bloody-mindedness that I let myself go as far as I did; normally I would have given up after getting to the front page to find no mention of the discount, and definitely if I got to the product page without any mention. If you can't be bothered trying to sell it to me, why am I wasting my time looking?

On the positive side, it looks like a quality product and it's a good price. Like, impulse-buy sort of price. So shout it from the rooftops!

(For those playing along at home, it's currently at a 50% discount and selling at $US4.95)

Good game, definitely worth $5. I would buy if I didn't have it already.

Just played through the demo, and now I'll give a short review :)

Graphics 8\10
Very good graphics, I quite liked them. I know that some of it was done
with TimelineFX, because I recognized those explosions, but where did
you get the enemy sprites? Those are really cool looking.

Sound 7\10
Good music. Not spectacluar, but it fits the game nicely, and sounds kinda
cool.

Controls 3\10
I found the controls very odd. My fingers felt cramped being so darn
close together when using the arrow keys with one hand, and 'm' ',' '.'
and '/' with the other.

Gameplay 5\10
I can see quite a few Defender inspirations here, which is pretty cool.
However I personally found the gameplay a tad too hard(I kept blowing up), and a bit one note. Although it was only the demo I played,
so perhaps the later levels of the game add more variety.

All in all, I'd give the game a 6.5 rating.

Cheers Playniax, I look forward to your future work :)

TimeLineFX was not used. It uses the ignition fx module. Controls can be configured anyway you like and you can also use a joystick or gamepad. about it beeing hard, well the demo starts at a higher level so I guess playing it for the first time can be overwhelming. Anyway it introduces 25 unique attackers of the 50 levels and some bosses to keep the game interesting.

The full game does indeed start a bit easier.

I had no trouble getting quite a few levels in, and the game introduces new enemies regularly.

hmm, maybe I'll give the demo another shot then :)

Cheers!
