scratching needs to be smoother and also needs controls.

It's looking good so far. Did you ask for the knob control for this project? I used to write a sample knob control for you, was it useful? ( http://www.blitzbasic.com/Community/posts.php?topic=92260#1050742 )
Just a suggestion: use photos of real knobs, from music studio equipment, that's looking very nice on a monitor.

email me if you need help with graphics (knobs, interface, etc). Did this one for the heck of it while I was doing VST stuff a few years ago.

WOW those look great, yes I needed the knob for this project and I have an image for the knob and slider.

I remember when there was Cubase and Notator Midi Programs, the first programs with Knobs and they were so cool. I guess we all love those Knobs in a GUI, no?
