well it was originally just so I could learn how to implement the formulas that will assist me in using the material point method for real time fluids in games but I can see some possibilities for gameplay coming from this. If it didnt provide any gameplay elements it would still be fun to have in the background...

I dont think so. I basicly built it so I could understand the formulas better for MPM and I didn't use any cubics. I used a paper called real time fluid dynamics for games to program a lot of it and then messed around with the code a little trying to make it faster and adding some effects like the fire.
