Hey guys, after quite a few months of laziness I eventually decided to finish my particle engine. It's based on Blitz3D and will hopefully facilitate some of my future projects (if there will be any Oo) Features: #Fast single-surface system #Unlimited number of particles/emitters #Unlimited number of textures #Different emission modes (area, point, line ...) #Different particle behaviours (rotate °/sec, face cam, align to movement, go crazy...) #Particle trails #Bouncing particles #Particles fade near cam if desired #3D sounds can be bound to emitters #Different blend modes to create glow/light effects #Very easy particle design #Many possibilities to customize particles Here are some screenshots: http://www.blitzforum.de/gallery/1506/ And here's a tech-demo: http://pheryllt.de/particlelabs-techdemo.exe The demo features 10 different effects, but without any scenery. It was originally meant to check frame rates and possible crashes, so don't expect anything spectacular...nevertheless, the effects are quite nice :) PRESS KEYS 0-9 FOR EFFECTS Since soundsnap.com isnt free of charge any more, I've downloaded the sounds used in the demo at freesound.org. If you use any sounds, you need to attribute the use of these samples, so here we go: stars.ogg ERH (http://www.freesound.org/usersViewSingle.php?id=215874) Nine Lies the Heart ed 4.wav (http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=34662) tennisball.ogg reinsamba (http://www.freesound.org/usersViewSingle.php?id=18799) table_tennis_ball_bump.wav (http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=39706) sparks.ogg By PhreaKsAccount (http://www.freesound.org/usersViewSingle.php?id=89025) welder2.ogg (http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=46502) waterfall.ogg A.Deathy (http://www.freesound.org/usersViewSingle.php?id=227630) big_waterfall.wav (http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=44880) gaspipe.ogg Syna-Max (http://www.freesound.org/usersViewSingle.php?id=111920) cuboos_alien_flamethrower.wav (http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=43583) tornado.ogg pushtobreak (http://www.freesound.org/usersViewSingle.php?id=9056) Wind1.aif (http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=16796) fountain.ogg ignotus (http://www.freesound.org/usersViewSingle.php?id=13366) Waterfall.aif (http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=14779) flare.ogg Corsica_S (http://www.freesound.org/usersViewSingle.php?id=7037) steam.flac (http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=27975) snow.ogg Anton (http://www.freesound.org/usersViewSingle.php?id=58) wind1.wav (http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=2690) So long, PSY |

I already tried that. Press SHIFT AND 1,2,3...0 for French Keyboard. Works well ;) JP |
