Here is a utility I'm making to keep track of scores for classic console games. As you know many times when you turn the power off the score is lost, never to be seen again. This little application replaces the need for paper and pencil.

I explain it best in video form. Please look.

I had partaken in too much beets

That was pretty hilarious.

Anyway, about the app, I think it's a cool idea and appears to function in an efficient manner. One feature I would add is a button under the "game data" button that takes you to a similar page for storing passwords. I have so many post-it notes floating around my desk of passwords that I can't remember what level or game they go to. A program that could store and sort passwords with comments (like you have with your scores) would be extremely useful.

Of course, you could save your password in the comment next to the score, but sometimes games with passwords do not have scores. Battlemaster for the Sega Genesis has 60 character passwords, and I can never beat the game because I can't efficiently store the password. It has no score, being an RPG.

Good luck with this.

You should make a way to edit the scores and to add groups for different game types/consoles/etc.

Password feature is a great idea Sauer! I'll probably add that to the game properties. :) Thanks for any comments about this. This is a labor of love for classic game enthusiasts.

Cool now hurry up so I can start playing "BattleMaster" and "PacMan 2, The New Adventures" again. :)

This is a very *early* version of the *Windows* program. Should be fairly bug free. 113 KB. Once I get the Windows version finalized I will begin work on the other two versions. Still keeping a list of ideas to add in. Just letting people see the basic concept here.

"365 games one game per year"
you give people one day off in every 4 years feb 29th, how kind ;)

I was watching it and thinking "I'm copying all my cheats from Vectorman into the notes section" right before you mentioned that.

Downloading it now, just got my wisdom teeth removed so I have a lot of Sega Genesis/NES time.

EDIT: Oops! Looks like the Mediashare file you linked too is the old version. Can you upload the new version?

*Btw I got 7zip so now I can open .RAR riles :)

EDIT2: Sorry, can't read, downloaded it from the youtube page.

Here you go, I tinkered with some things.

I think this is a good utility because it solves a few problems when playing classic score based games. Please post your thoughts people. :)

Went down and put a good session in on the NES...

I like how I no longer have to worry about my scores, so I can switch games as I please, especially when I get frustrated :)

And the notes section is a really good addition... I used it to mark strategies and notes on how the game went.

I'll probably also use it for Madden 95 to record player stats and to record how many points I can put up on the Packers.

Very cool, I'm taking it to my Sega later.
