AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+
Two gigs of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS

Scene 2:
With everything on: 111 FPS
With nothing on: 143 FPS

Scene 3:
With everything on: 15 FPS
With everything off: 60 FPS

Scene 5:
With everything on: 18 FPS
With everything off: 38-40 FPS

Scene 6:
With everything on: 18 FPS
With everything off: 38 FPS

Really, shadows were the big performance killer. Having shadows off with occlusion on still got me within a few frames per second of the "everything off" speed.

Why does the skybox / background in that screendump look so over-saturated?

DareDevil(Posted 2009) [#6]
Thanks all

over-saturated? is effect glow!

xlsior(Posted 2009) [#9]
Scene 2: 125 with ambiant occlusion enabled, 167 with disabled
Scene 3: 17 with ambiant occlusion enabled, 18 with disabled
Scene 5: 11 occlusion either enabled or disabled. 17 with shadow disabled
Scene 6: 10 with occlusion either enabled or disabled, 17 with shadow disabled

(In scene 6 there is a very noticable popping in and out of existence of drop shadows when they are enabled)
