Hi All,

I cooked this up last weekend, using the excellent graphics of Marc Russell from www.spicypixel.net:

Control Gripe by using the cursor keys and space to jump.

You have 60 seconds to collect as many diamonds as you can, I normally can get around 3400... lets see what you can do!

I think the ZIP is broken, I get unexpected end of archive. Nice graphics tho.

therevills(Posted 2008) [#3]
It works for me... Im using WinRAR, what are you using WMSteadman?

Chroma(Posted 2008) [#4]
Definitely have it to where the jump button doesn't repeat. I noticed that right off the bat and it made it hard to play.

Very nice work though. Seems you are quite busy lately!

is it possible to have a version without installer?

therevills(Posted 2008) [#6]
Thanks for trying it Chroma. Ive changed the jumping as you suggested.

Just uploaded a version without the installer:

something odd going on with my browser. Just tried both links again and got damaged archives. tested on my older pc and works fine. never mind. Am using Winrar also.

As for the demo. I like it. perhaps you could increase the challenge by making the items dissappear again after a set time.

Also, although it's not really necessary, I would like to see the map scroll around, but still loop infinitely. This would allow for bigger maps and if the scrolling done right would look really cool. The going off the edge to come on the other side works fine, but I have never liked it even in old titles like bubble bobble etc.

Good work tho.

Which map editor did you use if you don't mind my asking?

Grisu(Posted 2008) [#9]
I simply love the gfx style... the artist rocks.

johnnyfreak(Posted 2008) [#10]
thanks for the version withoiut installer.

nice work. Only one thing, IMHO, changing from left direction to right (and viceversa) is too slow and i'd like also to have more control on jumps.

Broken zip archive
first message when extracting with win:
"This archive is empty. you cannot extract it"
7-zip:
"Could not complete extraction"

RifRaf(Posted 2008) [#12]

Thanks for trying it guys.

the artist rocks.

+1 to that! When I saw these I knew I had to use them!

Just uploaded two zip files (using 7zip this time) for the people who are having troubles:

Could you let me know if these work okay?
Thanks!

Runs fine, the player momentum is still too high; I wont touch a game with sloppy controls.

momentum is still too high

I didnt change anything!! ;-) Just uploaded the 7zip zip file.

I wont touch a game with sloppy controls.

I wouldnt have said the controls were sloppy....
