Oooh, that looks good.

Dan Dare was one of those interesting 8-Bit games, the Spectrum, Amstrad and C64 versions were all completely different games if memory serves. I had a Speccy at the time and it was dreadful, however, a friend of mine had an Amstrad 6128 and it was brilliant on that! Completely different though!

Yea the C64 was definetly the best of the bunch (IMHO)

The next 2 in the series were certainly lesser games....

Intel Mac version should be released tonight.

No universal binary I'm afraid - I only have access to an Intel Mac........

Sweet. Thanks for that. :)

Looks great. I never played the original, but I was a big fan of the Dan Dare comic strip!

Brilliant remake! I love it, really :D

Since you are releasing a Mac version, I assume it's been made in BlitzMax, right?

Perturbatio(Posted 2008) [#11]
I played it for a bit, never played the original although I do remember it.

I gave up when I got stuck at the top of a ladder with a closed hatch at the top.

Sounds like dangerous dave for DOS. I used to play that a lot.

Stu_ovine(Posted 2008) [#13]
Yes its MAX.

Can someone make sure this runs on an Intel Mac, all new to me this Mac stuff, I'd like to know if I've packaged it correctly :)

If this works then I have huntersmoon ( http://huntersmoon.ovine.net ) and Quantasm ( http://quantasm.ovine.net ) ready to release too.

Works fine here on a MacBook with Leopard
