Looks very professional. Can't wait to play a demo if there will be one. :)

Yeah looks neat. Do you see the dice rolling in 3D or anything?

Moraldi(Posted 2007) [#4]
I like them. Colorful but not tedious

Thanks for the comments, glad you like the gfx.

Kept everything 'cartoony' so it's more appealing to the younger age group.

I'll see if I can knock a demo up shortly.

The background is animated, trees move, snakes hiss - eyes appear from the darkness.

I posted the animation system on the BlitzPlus forum, assigning each animation a random chance of animating, quite a nice system and easy to add more elements without modifying the game code.

@Grey Alien - can do the dice, but this is done in Blitz+, with all the 3D rendered to anim strips, so yes I could do that.

I'll see if I can do an updated screenie with the couters in place.

Interested in any suggestion that anyone may have.

what program did you use to make that grass?

Yeshu777(Posted 2007) [#7]
All done in 3DS Max 9 - albeit not by myself.

Very nice GFX.

Grey Alien(Posted 2007) [#9]
Using Blitz+ hey, no transparency, well I hope you got round that OK (looks like you did).

Yeshu777(Posted 2007) [#10]
Aye, got round that.

Thinking of converting it to BlitzMax very shortly (once I buy it).

In that case I recommend using Grey Alien's Framework. It'll save you a ton of time. Highly recommended.

Thanks will look into the GA Framework.

Currently I use a lot of types to re-iterate through players, animations etc..

Had a quick look at the noob tutorials about converting from Plus to Max - as Max has a different way of dealing with types (TList??) but doesn't look tooo bad.

Very nice graphics.

Emailed you.

Looks a bit 'minimal' to me*. ;o)

*the link be broke.

Yeshu777(Posted 2007) [#15]
Ok, will sort the link out shortly.

@Steve - replied.

BMax uses Types and they can have Methods and Functions built into them which is much better than having the separate in BPlus. Also yeah it uses TList, this is very handy and allows you to iterate through your types and process them. I use lots of TLists in my framework. You could use arrays if you prefer but TLists seems handier to me.

Piccy back for a while, until I update it.

Any comments most welcome.

Vamos a ver..

Nice graphics, but i don`t like the color of the red snake. The green one looks really better.
