Yes, yet another asteroids type game. :) This actually started out as a learning exercise for me with blitzmax and just kinda turned into a game. I’m having a blast and any suggestions would be cool. Btw, I love the classic vector based games – hence this starter project for me.

Thanks for the comments. I didn’t include a screen shot at first because it doesn’t really capture it well. Also it is not flashy looking like a lot of games here! I’ve learned a lot with this project and have a few other “vector based” type games I want to make. It’s a ton of fun really.

Nope. I did use UPX as recommended in the forums.

Glen: windowed version works. Nice little game. ;)

I'm into vector GFX myself at the moment. Are all the GFX and text in your game true vectors, or are some faked using rotated/scaled images?

The rocks and ships are faked (the thrust graphic is not). The text is all drawn.

I tried drawing everything, but couldn’t get the code worked out to rotate it properly. I will still work on it though because its ultimately what I want.

Nice. The asteroids need to be bigger though to look better and to make it easier to distinguish between them and some of the enemies - and add a sound as an enemy comes onscreen. At the moment everything is the same size and colour.

Coming along nicely though.
