Hi,
I have a JVC mini DV cam and I want to capture the PC video output to the cam. Is this possible to do this?
I connected my VGA to JVC through an S-Video cable but I don't know how to proceed.
Do I need a specific software or what?
Thanks

If your dv cam has a video IN it may be possible depending on your vid card, you might be able to get some kind of cable to twist and bend the PC output into your DV cam.

However, most DV cams just have video OUT so if that's the case you're screwed... Unless you point the cam at your screen!

Just out of interest. Why do you need to do this?

Because I want to record a demo from my latest game.
I am looking a way to avoid spending money on a software...

I would suspect this would give better results than the likes of fraps because you're not eating any system resource to do it either.

As I said though, you need your cam to have video in... most don't.

The other way which works is to have a second computer with a video capture card... but then you're talking expense again.. Although not a lot... http://www.ebuyer.com/product/48062

Rob:
I checked my dv and it has video IN, I didn't check my card but if I remember well, it has (ATI RADEON 1800 series)
Any way, thanks for the link
