MGE(Posted 2007) [#2]
Graphics don't look that good.......

YAH RIGHT!!!! They look AMAZING! :) Very nice, wow!!!

boomboom(Posted 2007) [#3]
looking good, a nice soft fabley style to it.

Could do with alot more vegitation though, especially on the ground around the fences.

Are you still developing this along side the gp2x version?

markcw(Posted 2007) [#4]
Good luck in the contest.

The graphics are very good. However I don't like the sunflare thing, it would look much better without it imo.

UnderwoodNullium(Posted 2007) [#5]
Beautiful!!

fredborg(Posted 2007) [#6]
Looks great!

SoggyP(Posted 2007) [#7]
Hello.

Superb. Don't overpopulate and overcomplicate it, the simple, cartoony look makes it look very special.

Look forward to seeing it in action.

Goodbye.

Filax(Posted 2007) [#8]
Very nice !

puki(Posted 2007) [#9]
This is very exciting.

Reminds me of Fable.

Let me know if you are selling any more media.

Ked(Posted 2007) [#10]
Awesome lens flare! Very nice screenshots.

Picklesworth(Posted 2007) [#11]
Wow, all these projects I thought were tech demos or dead are resurfacing. Beautiful! Looks just as good now as that image you posted in the gallery, ages ago.

M2PLAY(Posted 2007) [#12]
Menos mal
que era lo segundo.
Bienvenido, buen trabajo, compi.
Marcos Medina

Yo! Wazzup?(Posted 2007) [#13]
I think the sunlight thingy is too centered. Great Graphics anyway, though!

big10p(Posted 2007) [#15]
Looks great. I wouldn't change a thing.

smilertoo(Posted 2007) [#16]
Hooray, i see the wooden crates have infested your game world.

mongia2(Posted 2007) [#17]
good good
best blitz graphics!!

Mortiis(Posted 2007) [#18]
I loved the artwork but I think you need a better level designer. Nice work indeed, cheers!

Xzider(Posted 2007) [#19]
Amazing

Paolo(Posted 2007) [#20]
Excelente trabajo en esas imagenes :)

Great work and atmosphere in those images, congrats !

Paolo.

M2PLAY(Posted 2007) [#21]
Fuller:
I´m sorry. The next one. ;-P

Sonic(Posted 2007) [#22]
Great work! What kind of gameplay will it have?

Gabriel(Posted 2007) [#23]
Beautiful. Has the appearance of a well drawn comic or cartoon about it, but still fully 3d.

I really dislike the lens flare though. It's out of place with the cartoony style of the graphics in general. If you absolutely must have it, then at least make it much more subtle. At the moment, it overpowers your beautiful models and textures.

MCP(Posted 2007) [#24]
Graphically some of the best work I've seen though I agree with Gabriel about the lens flare.
Good luck in the competition and well done.

jfk EO-11110(Posted 2007) [#25]
Good to see you're still working on it. Good luck for the contest!! Do you want me to visit the Jury and tell them what the right decision with their future in mind would be? :)

Now, is this Blitz3D or what? I remember you emigrated the media across several engines.

Finally, release the demo for us too :)

Xilvan(Posted 2007) [#26]
I'm really happy to see that theres not just Lights of Dreams in making and that my game have similar game to compare... I really like Legends of Idhuriel and I happy to see it again in the forum, I thought the project not worked...

Good luck and welcome back in the forum...

Rob Farley(Posted 2007) [#27]
I must agree with Gabriel, the lens flare looks horrible, it's way too overpowering.

The other scenes look good, would like to see this moving though.

big10p(Posted 2007) [#28]
I think it's difficult to pass judgement on the lens flare until we see it in motion. That screenie probably shows it at it's strongest. :)

MadJack(Posted 2007) [#29]
ALso not a fan of lens flares'. Been playing Gothic3 - that has a lens flare and it usually pops up just as I'm trying to aim an arrow at an approaching enemy, obscuring said enemy - so it actually hampers gameplay. Perhaps a user setting?

Pete Carter(Posted 2007) [#30]
looks great, can't wait to see more.

L_Draven(Posted 2007) [#31]
Thanks a million for all your post friends, thanks thanks!!.

I have uploaded a video in my blog for you can see it in movement in real time. But you must remember that its a WIP demo and need more stuff and more work on it.

I hope that like you.

You can see it here:

Hola M2PLAY cuanto tiempoooo me alegro que te guste como esta quedando :-), a ver si coincidimo algun dia por algun chat y hablamos un poco tio que no se nada yo tampoco de ti jejej.

When i complete this demo, i will do the same for gp2x.

About the lens i like the effect and the flare of the image is in the most powerfull status, just see it in front of the sun.

Greets friends.

Picklesworth(Posted 2007) [#32]
The trouble with that lens flare is it seems rather ineffective; just a rainbow shape obstructing the screen, with no real effect on gameplay. (Whereas in MadJack's example, that lens flare most definitely did have a significant impact on gameplay!)

If you want staring at the sun to be something that results in obstructed vision, I suggest you do tone down the lens flare a bit but also make the screen become somewhat washed out with white. A lens flare that intense seems a bit silly when there is so little actual impact to being able to see.

chwaga(Posted 2007) [#33]
what's wrong with a lens flare for the sake of prettiness?? That's taken right out of the code archives though, I tried using it, but it didn't work, so I reverse-engineered another one to fit my needs.

The running animation of the guy is weird. His elbows are too close to his biceps, it looks like he's running with rigamortis (:P), If you had his arms come out and swing further, It would look much more uber and intimidating :) (My 11 cents)

Grey Alien(Posted 2007) [#34]
looks great, lens flare is too bright ;-)

Good luck! Still wanna play a demo!

JustLuke(Posted 2007) [#35]
I'm generally not too keen on "high fantasy" - it's too stale and cliched for me. Sorry. But I'm a huge fan of non-realistic cartoon-style visuals, so I just can't help liking your work.

L_Draven(Posted 2007) [#36]
Hi again friends.

I have uploaded some new screens with some updates:

- I have made a better flare effect. I like more now. (thansk for the comments about it)

- I have made a new vegatation system, works and looks better.

- I remade the run animation, now i like more, before dont like me very much.

- And solve some demo bugs and added more things......

More screens are in the blog of my signature.

I hope that like you.

Greets

MCP(Posted 2007) [#37]
that's much better L_Draven it's looking very good now :)
Good luck in the competition!

SpaceAce(Posted 2007) [#38]
This looks fantastic. The biggest compliment I can give you is to say that I want to play this game.

SpaceAce

L_Draven(Posted 2007) [#39]
Hi again friends!!!.

SpaceAce: thanks for your words!! i hope than before of Christmas you can download a demo for play it :-). I am working hard for do it.

I want say you that i have upload 2 screenshots in my blog with the new bloom effect that i have added.

The screens compare the same shot before and after with the new effect.

I hope that like you.

Greets friends.

_33(Posted 2007) [#40]
I think the bloom is set too high. You're loosing a lot of detail when that bloom is active.

M2PLAY(Posted 2007) [#41]
Eii
It´s like a photo equalizer. I like it Fernando.
but, like an option. A video menu option will be fantastic.
Great work!!
Christmas? WUAAOOUUU. Fantastic. Thxs.

Xilvan(Posted 2007) [#42]
This is so different and fun to see... I'm, waiting for the Demo !!

Right now I'm altmost done with the bugs removal of LOD... I've added grass, flowers and butterflies...

D4NM4N(Posted 2007) [#43]
Very Very nice looking game, ill keep my eye on this!!

nazca(Posted 2007) [#44]
Looks Great, is that Antialiasing I see?

Chroma(Posted 2007) [#45]
This is by far the best looking RPG ever made in blitz3d. Good luck and I'm looking forward to a demo LDraven!

Paul "Taiphoz"(Posted 2007) [#46]
you should not only sell the game, but the game engine as well.

Very Very nice, I'v been watching this for a while now. still waiting to see some screen shots of other zones in the game tho.

L_Draven(Posted 2007) [#47]
Thanks a million friends i am very grateful to you.

M2Play: its a good idea the menu option, i will think in it.
nazca: i am not using antialias, its a 1024x768 at 32 bbp resolution only. but i need to see in the Card options that perhaps its activated, i dont know :-).

Chroma: Thanks a million friend.

Yavin: the demo only have this village but i am thinking & designing in paper the next location :-).

Greets friends.

JustLuke(Posted 2007) [#48]
you should not only sell the game, but the game engine as well.

I agree with Yavin on this. I'd certainly be interested in purchasing the game engine.

caff_(Posted 2007) [#49]
Graphically it's looking very nice.

It will probably be a big effort to create a lot of landscapes and maps with that quality though.

EmerGki(Posted 2007) [#50]
Hey L_Draven, How are you?

What tools do you used to make the Terrain and the Grass Placement?

L_Draven(Posted 2007) [#51]
Hi again friends.

JustLuke i will think about it :-).

EmerGki: i used 3d max for the model terrain and a own plant editor for the plants. (very basic i am improving it).

By the way, I have uploaded a new video with the new demo for art futura show that it will celebrate this weekend.

The quality of the video is horrible in youtube, the source was 104x768, i dont know whats happen :-(.
And the Fraps captured it making little jumps, in real time goes very fluid.

I hope that like you.

Greets friends.

Anxiously awaiting the release!

TaskMaster(Posted 2007) [#55]
Wow, reminds me of fable.

I hate seeing a great looking game that I won't get to play for a long time.

You tease!

Xilvan(Posted 2007) [#56]
Its the first time I see a video and all I have to say you its that its awesome... very well done... I'm happy to see its getting better...
