Hi!
Just finished my 1st game in Blitz3d. It's a puzzle game with rigid body physics (Tokamak) and some pretty (for puzzle I think) graphics.

Slogan: Bored solving puzzles? Destroy levels. Blow up puzzles. Play Forts :-)

You can see it here:

UPDATE:
- minor bugfixes
- game now starts in 800x600x32 resolution, which make graphics look just right
- greatly increased difficulty - much challenge and fun even on early demo levels:-)

I've not had a go, but the screenshots look interesting.

This is a nice game. Will think about buying it. :)

degac(Posted 2007) [#4]
very nice game!
ps: at the end of the demo the game when you click the button 'get code' it opens the following url http://www.fortsgame.com/buy.html but there's nothing...

looks interesting. why not post a screenie at the top of the thread?

Good fun, nice music and pleasant graphics.

The downside for me is that the game seemed to play more by luck than judgement. There was no feeling of improving your game, but I guess this is a toughie to overcome with a game like this.

Screenie...

2 degac:
Broken 'buy now' link is fixed.

2 Amon:

You are always welcome :-) All updates and bugfixes will be free.

This was great fun.

Don't agree with Nomens comment about not improving.
I had great problems with the last demo level until I found out exactly where to hit for maximum effect. Can complete it first time now.

Brilliantly simple and addictive IMO

New version realeased.
Details is in 1st post.

Went back to this after reading Geehawk's thoughts and I have come to the conclusion that you can indeed improve your game with a bit of effort.

This is an extremely addictive game. Great work. =)

chwaga(Posted 2007) [#12]
Great game, the physics are slightly flawed...slightly flawed just enough to make me lose...Also, you should make it an option to be able to swivel the camera further

2 all:
btw, what level do you like best? what level is disliked? is the game seems to difficult or maybe too easy?

Geehawk(Posted 2007) [#14]
This one seems much harder than the previous version.
Spent a long time getting through level 7, and demo time ran out before I could get to 7 again to see if the same tactics would work.

Too hard now I would say. The last one felt better.
This time there were odd physics problems too, like very large blocks staying balanced even though they were supported only at one end?

chwaga(Posted 2007) [#15]
yeah, I noticed that too...Could it be that the friction is too high on the blocks?

ffinder(Posted 2007) [#16]
2 chwaga: no, it seems like Tokamak (physics engine used) make rigid bodies "sleepy" to fast. I don't know where can I set a threshold for a quantity of motion to "keep awake" per integration step to avoid this.

Maybe I need add an option to restart level if things went wrong (missed two shots for example).

Geehawk:
>Too hard now I would say. The last one felt better.
no pain no game ;-)
i'll think about it.

Geehawk(Posted 2007) [#17]
Put it this way. The last version had IMO a smoother difficulty curve that made me want to try again.

If by level 7 (of 50) it takes me almost 1/2 an hour to complete a level of a casual game them I wont bother as it stops being a casual pick up and play game ;-)
