Could you please run this demo and just post if it works or not? I'm frustrated that others are not able to run my BMax efforts, thanks!

Full screen runs in 800x600x32 so click cancel if you want to run it in a window.

@+-150 Sprites
Window +- 450 fps
Fullscreen +- 650 fps

bye

Works fine here. Tested in fullscreen and windowed with no vsync and no throttling.

Fullscreen: 20-40fps depending on how busy the screen is
Windowed: 10-15fps

Tested on a 6yr old laptop, P3 1.1GHz, 512mb RAM, WinXP, 16mb shared graphics. If it works on this, it should work on just about anything.

Even though the framerate varies quite a bit, the timing code seems to compensate for it pretty well.

Works fine here on my work machine, will try it at home later.

Tested, it runs nice and smooth.

Fullscreen: +- 300 fps

Thanks guys, very much appreciated! (Seriously!)

smilertoo(Posted 2007) [#7]
1100 fps fullscreen
840 fps windowed

both after running for 30 seconds to let screen fill up a bit.

Grey Alien(Posted 2007) [#8]
I get about 700-800FPS in both fullscreen and windowed with VSync Off.

Thanks for having a looksie. wow...some of you guys have incredible frame rates! I am so frickin old school, I need to buy a new machine. The best my "powerful" computer can do is about 120fps with all the goodies happening. But I'm too afraid to "spoil" myself if you know what I mean?

Ok, this was just a test to see if the thing would even run, mods can remove this if they want to. I'll be posting a proper thread in respects to MGE and it's on going woes. Thanks guys, very much appreciated. ;)

This thread is better than quite a few showcases so no point in removing it.

MGE(Posted 2007) [#11]
wow GA, coming from you I take that as a compliment! Thanks!

Big&(Posted 2007) [#12]
Works on my home machine too :)

I am getting about 1200fps in full screen and about 800fps in windowed mode.

BlitzSupport(Posted 2007) [#13]
Fine here -- 1300-1400 with no vsync (interesting because others in this thread have faster gfx/CPU combinations than me), and very smooth.

MGE(Posted 2007) [#14]
Thanks for checking it out, very much appreciated. My confidence in using BlitzMax for commercial apps is growing!! woo hoo! Check out the other MGE thread in the showcase for a test version that allows you to run your game in any resolution!

In full screen: ~1350 FPS (low of 1200, high of 1600)
In windowed mode: ~1250 FPS (mostly between 1100 and 1500, with the occasional dip to the 800's)

In full screen mode 30 FPS is smooth, but 20 FPS gets really choppy

When starting full screen I get around 2000. Then it drops to 1600 +/-150 with somthing like 200-220 sprites on screen.

Running windowed everything the variations are much smaller and I get 1200 +/-30

Intel Core2Duo E6600, ATI X1950XTX, 2 GB RAM
