I made this mini game / game prototype in just (roughly) 21 hours. :)

Looks tasty man. I can't test it just now, but it looks great :o)

I have an idea!

Interface the Wiimote with it so you have to use them as chopsticks to stack the blocks! :)

(Looks good!)

Cygnus: hah, great idea. Can you call Nintendo and ask them to contact me :)

I wrote about it here:

http://www.binaryjoy.co.uk/games/games-news/high-piled-free-game/

Is it made in B3D?

Beaker(Posted 2007) [#6]
Have you seen Tower Bloxx for mobile phones? Might give you some inspiration.

gameproducer(Posted 2007) [#7]
@Grey Alien: Thanks, you are probably first one who noticed my "blogware" note ;) Anyway - thanks for the review. And yes, it's made using Blitz3D.

@Beaker: I haven't seen Tower Bloxx, and this idea is "my own", although I've later been given some pointers to other box stacking games. Tower Bloxx seems fun.

You might want to note that it took me longer than 21 hours to write the music included with this game!

Hey, looks very nice. :O)

Hmm this reminds me of one of the games i've written almost ten years ago... http://linpop.zdf.de/quiz/wettendass/index_popup.html?4

Click on the beercrates and let them fall down correctly...

Cool they still have a lot of the first games i've written in shockwave online... http://www.zdf.de/ZDFde/inhalt/31/0,1872,2189695,00.html :O)

"You might want to note that it took me longer than 21 hours to write the music included with this game! "
... and so did making Blitz3D, Shadows lib, physics lib, art... but I'm counting the hours I spent on doing this ;)

Games don't need to be complex to be fun. Great game.

Grisu(Posted 2007) [#13]
Nice one. But needs something more to keep you interested for a longer period of time.

Grey Alien(Posted 2007) [#14]
how about building different shapes in a time limit. And have random distubences that knock bits of them down. Anyway, I believe this was just a min tech demo type thing...

Great game GP, felt a bit like a mini game in Black and White

anawiki(Posted 2007) [#16]
Very very cool :) I have to make one like that. It's so refreshing.

best

Hah, thanks for the comments folks :) And telesto, I actually stole that 'hand as a cursor' idea from B&W ;)

Sure... there would be lots of ways to add stuff into this...
