There is a problem with the demo and we are currently fixing it. Sorry for the misleading post. I will have a new one after christmas. Thanks for the understanding :)

Downloading now, looks good.

EDIT - I just played the demo for a bit. The tutorial was very good, the game is polished, I like the way the narrator nags the player to buy the full game - and that the game doesn't take itself too seriously. It reminds me of the game Myth 2:SoulBlighter with the swordsman, archers, dwarven molotov cocktail thrower and other units. I kept wanting to orbit the other way when I did so with the mouse although camera controls were easy otherwise. I didn't bother sitting through the scrolling text introduction to the campaign, found it a little too slow and very similar to most other medieval fantasy themes.

It ran fine on my machine (laptop AMD64 3500 (or something) ATI Radeon Mobility 9700 64MB VRAM, 512 MB RAM, WinXP SP2).

Does the game come with any cheat codes?

Liberator(Posted 2006) [#3]
Cheat codes are only in the full version. I'm glad you found the game similar to Myth 2. Do you remember the tutorial in Myth 2? The quote "Yes, that's orbiting!" was taken directly from there :)

Man a 2hr download! Could you stick it in a torrent or something?

Who was John Galt?(Posted 2006) [#8]
Tried it twice and twice it completely froze my machine on the "Initialising...." screen. (Waited at least 2 mins before trying ctrl alt delete). Had to crowbar the power in the end.

AMD64 512Mb, XP SP2, Geforce 6600

andy_mc(Posted 2006) [#9]
um, 2 hr download, mine took about five minues!

Anyway, excellent game (even though I lost the first round)

The tutorial's really nice and makes a change from other games like this.

I think it's just my computer, but I found that for the first five minutes, the sound broke up loads and was really crackly, I am using crappy onboard VIA sound though.

andy_mc(Posted 2006) [#10]
one other thing, was this done entirely in Blitz3D with no userlibs or anything?

TroM(Posted 2006) [#11]
it froze my machine on the "Initialising...." screen, too.

Kong(Posted 2006) [#12]
Crashes after the initializing screen for me to.

Radeon 9700 Pro/ Amd Barton 2400+/ 1gb ram/ win xp

TeaVirus(Posted 2006) [#13]
Same initializing then crash here.

Tri|Ga|De(Posted 2006) [#14]
initializing error here to!

Liberator(Posted 2006) [#15]
Ok I'm looking into the init thing. Does it give a MAV or just hang?

telesto - Yes, all in-house blitz3D :)

Who was John Galt?(Posted 2006) [#16]
Hang

Liberator(Posted 2006) [#17]
Ok. I'm looking into it. Sorry about this guys, it worked fine on the 5 computers we have here =/

puki(Posted 2006) [#18]
Send over the full source and media (not encrypted) and I'll take a look.

Terry B.(Posted 2006) [#19]
No offense, but I did not like it. Boring.
Oh and it ran way to slow.

khayn(Posted 2006) [#20]
good game.

basic idea = good game
(i dont say any more becouse i dont speak english well)

MadJack(Posted 2006) [#21]
Liberator

Seemed to freeze for me at 'initializing' - but then Itwigged that it was Zonealarm that was holding it up.

Unloaded Zonealarm, reran the demo and it ran fine.

Very good job.

Who was John Galt?(Posted 2006) [#22]
Yeah that fixes it here.

Buggy(Posted 2006) [#23]
Where do you get the demo?

Liberator(Posted 2006) [#24]
We are releasing a new one very soon. The old one didn't work on some people's computers so we took it down to fix it. I'll make a new post when the new one is out.
