Hello,

I published a new important screenshot about RADicchio: it shows the first preview of the events management!

In the screenshot you can see how to assign custom code to a push button.

You can see just a screenshot, but it is fully functional!

Wow looks good dude!

So you need BMax and BMax GUI too to use this?

IPete2.

Alessandro(Posted 2006) [#3]
Hello IPete2, thank you for your feedback!

I'm developing RADicchio! using Turbo Delphi 2006 Professional Edition, but this RAD environment will generate pure source code BlitzMax + MaxGUI.

It means, even if you can use RADicchio! only on Win enviroment, you will be able to compile and execute the final code on every O.S. where BM runs (Mac, Linux, Win).

Furthermore, I'm trying to make RADicchio! compatible with Linux Wine environment ;-)

It does look very good. My Gui set-up is all trial and error at the moment.

<<My Gui set-up is all trial and error at the moment. >>

I know. This is why I wanted to create a powerful RAD environment! I think BM is a great language, and I wanted to use it maximizing productivity, I wanted to concentrate on my key-code (and not to the innoying things, like interface creation), etc...

Skins are not native in RADicchio!, but I already planned to implement skins in the program :-)

Beaker(Posted 2006) [#8]
That does look really good. What's your ETA?

Alessandro(Posted 2006) [#9]
Sorry, what is "eta"?
You mean my age?
I'm 36 :-)

tonyg(Posted 2006) [#10]
Estimated Time (of) Arrival.
Beaker, it's in the Roadmap

Alessandro(Posted 2006) [#11]
Ops... I'm sorry :-)

I hope I will be able to release an alpha version on January.
If the users (users to make some tests) will be satisfied of RADicchio!, I hope I will be able to release first beta on March :-)

EDIT: in italian language, "ETA" (but ETA`) means AGE! So I made this mistake (I'm italian).

Hello,

after an hard job I finally created a prototype version of RADicchio!

In this preliminary version, very few options are working, but it they are enough to taste this application.

I even created a quickstart tutorial, just to help you to discover the system. You will be able to create a window, put some buttons inside, put some BM code when a click event occour, then compile it to create a BM application.

A lot of options are missing, but this is only a prototype; it can be used to better fix how it works.

You can download the program from here:

http://ale870.pbwiki.com/RADicchio-Download

then follow the small tutorial (the link is in the same page).

I hope you will give me some feedback, comments, etc...

Thank you for your help!

Booticus(Posted 2006) [#16]
hey this is looking pretty neat Alessandro! I'll give it a try tomorrow!

Ciao!

Alessandro(Posted 2006) [#17]
Thank you Booticus, I will wait for your news! :-)

Booticus(Posted 2006) [#18]
Wow this is looking in-depth! I like where the project is going. Very flexible!

Alessandro(Posted 2006) [#19]
Thank you! I will continue in this way!

Hello,

during these Christmas holidays I meditated so much about RADicchio! and its future.

So I decided to change the license: RADicchio! will be distributed as a freeware application!

The first version, with the new license FREEWARE is out! Feel free to download it!

Editor enhancements: now it is able to store new words that you type, and they are automatically inserted in the autocompletion code!

Gosh that looks nice - another reason to grab MaxGui

Thanks alot!
