This is AWESOME!

Note:
Could you make him run "into" the exit door when he exits a level?

And it seems everything is a bit too slow in terms of movement speed and lifts.

They look great - what is the game about?

Ice9(Posted 2006) [#5]
Looks great. I also have a 3d side scroller I've been
working on for a number years. Mine is fantasy oriented.
this from 2 years ago. Content takes a long time to create

Thanks Guys!

@Grisu. Without a doubt he will be heading into the exit and the doors will close behind him. That's just one item of a countlessly long 'to do' list. :) Slow, eh? Well, it's not a pure arcade game but rather a puzzle/platform game so after a lot of playing around I thought this was the best speed. But I'll keep an ear out to what others think.

@Matty. It's a puzzle/platform game. Each level requires you to try and unlock and exit the room. The puzzles will be of the timing and pattern type. This video is only a small sampling of all the puzzle elements not the least of which are 'Killer Robots'!

@Ice9 I remember that one. I thought that looked great and had wondered what had become of it. Hope you're still hammering away.

My target for 'beta' is September. The completed version will be in March. (This just happens to be the same time as the '07 IGF competition deadlines. :) )

Wow great stuff Dustin, I can't get the avi to work, but judging from the screenies this looks great.
and congratulaitons on the Battlestar Galactica work!

I too watched the original film and tv series, but this new version has to be seen to be appreciated. I have become an avid follower and as you hoped it went to season 2 and now is shotting season 3 afaik. The toasters look great by the way! Lol!

IPete2.

Sorry for the headaches with the video guys. FYI, it uses the latest DIVX codec.

Anyways, I just made some low-bandwidth-friendly wmv videos:

6 Meg WMV video

15 Meg WMV video

How about giving these a shot? Thanks!

@IPete2 Thanks for the BSG comments. It was a fun gig. If you're curiuos, the Toasters come in many 'flavors'. I did the first two episodes of season one in Lightwave. The first two episodes of season two were done in Maya. The other 'chrome toasters' were done in Max by a talented crew up in Canada. Yes, season 3 is around the corner and my sources tell me that there's some great stuff coming up!!!
