Yup another version (will this thing ever stop?).

What's New?

General
• Expanded the frames per second display to show the frames per second and the actual update & render world frame rates. F7 (FPS display) now F2.
• Added the much requested global speed control. Can run in fixed (regular) speed or variable speed.
• Added option to disable the wait for VSync.
• Added option to set the message delay time (0 – 5 seconds).
• Minor updates to the configuration dialog.
• Built against new version of the compiler that prevents DEPs from occurring.
• Improved the configuration help / settings / real time statistics display.
• Disabled the nag screen (DEMO version only!) again!

Themes
• Added load theme dialog. Now you can load a specific theme from a list.
• Added option to briefly show theme name when loading random or auto themes.
• Added option to permanently show theme names.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Vorboils is an awesome 3D screensaver. It generates beautiful, random wormholes that wobble, mutate and amaze.

Vorboils is highly configurable (258 options) and can even run in interactive mode. Vorboils can auto generate random wallpapers for your desktop too!

Vorboils can display a 3D clock and sync your PC time to an online atomic clock, accurate to 1 second in 6 million years!

Vorboils can optionally display a spinning cube with an image of your choice - great for advertising your business!

Oh no, yet ANOTHER release of this! How many releases do you plan on in future?

It's called 'procrastination'. He's putting off working on Qoob. :P

Well, there is ONE more planned and thats to fix a couple of minor bugs that have been around since version 2. Also it will include much needed documentation cos with 258 options it can get a bit scary for the user.

Funnily enuff an updated version of RetroSphere is almost ready - again minor modifications only.

And qoob 0.8 is 99% ready (coming VERY soon). And I think it's turning into a really cool game. It is a MAJOR update...

General

Added 'time check' code for testing full beta releases.

Brought install scripts up to date with current Boiled Sweets templates.

Game

Added teleports, teleport triggers, gas clouds, gas masks, gas cloud deactivators, unstable blocks.

Improved the asteroids textures / shapes

Expanded the alien mesh options. Can now choose from 5 different meshes (or none) and set the alpha too!

Expanded the difficulty rating options!

Added bigger stars with their own orbit.

Added beautiful spiral galaxies (red and blue) with their own orbits / rotation.

Now use the awesome Sprite Candy engine for all HUD / text stuff - super fast now!

Now use the latest Particle Candy engine - faster and more stable

Added LOADS of in game messages (can also be turned on / off).

Improved the map data files structure and the way we reference the textures, added sanity check for non existent textures too!

Replaced the "Arrgh" text with Sprite Candy.

Better falling out of the world triggering - player has to be falling at a certain speed and below the bottom block layer. This allows for huge drops within maps without dying.

Added LOADS more textures and removed the 'crap' ones.

Optimised the collision detection routine.

Completely redesigned the HUD

Removed the horrid 'slight drop' when starting a new world - no longer point the player at the welcome map too.

Removed several unrequired entities

Now use a 1.6 camera zoom to ensure the aspect ratio is 'correct'

Added a Reset Game key (F10). This will reset all game objects and reposition you back to the start should you be unfortunate enough to find yourself in a dead end or without a required game object.

Added 10 new tunes.

Menu

Removed the confirmation dialog when changing key assignments as it caused a "dead end" in some situations.

Editor

Much tweaking in the GUI.

Now use the Blitz 10 font.

Fixed bug when re-entering the editor (having a selected a brick in first session).

No longer ask the amount of fuel when clearing a fuel pod!

Only report unsuccessful map loads just not successful ones too.

Improved the time bomb deployment dialog - now uses a standard interface
