Hello, i just wanted to share the latest version of kaboom [win | osx] Enjoy, taumel |
| ||
Looks nice. Downloaded and it appears to be a reskin of Rockout which is supplied with BMAX. |
| ||
Hi, yup as it was stated in the first version which i posted approximately 7 months ago: http://blitzbasic.com/Community/posts.php?topic=46992&hl=kaboom Greetings, taumel |
| ||
Heh, must have missed it first time around. I love the GFX, did you do them yourself? |
| ||
Great gfx, oddy gameplay. :) |
| ||
Thanks, o The spaceship model was made by psionic. I just rendered out the needed animation. o The planet is from my harddisk...lying there around since some time but i think it was from esa. I only reworked it a bit with photoshop, (halo, colours, blurred, ...) o The Font is a free one from the net. o The rest (is there something left :O) is done by me. Greetings, taumel |

Great gfx, oddy gameplay. :) Surely you meant to say "I've never seen such a playable game. Whoever came up with this gameplay must have been a game design genius. Shigeru Miyamoto himself would probably pack it all in if he ever tried this game." Is that what you meant to say? |
| ||
*laughing* :O) |
| ||
...Why are you laughing? |
| ||
...Why are you asking this question? |
| ||
I've never seen such a playable game. Whoever came up with this gameplay must have been a couple of pieces short of a full jigswaw set. Shigeru Miyamoto himself would probably pack it all in if he ever tried this game. Seriously though, the graphics look polished to the n'th degree. Nicely presented too. very clean and swish. Boy there are tons of objects on screen. The font reminds me of Team 17's Amiga games Project X and Superfrog. |
| ||
Now this is strange, I click the game to start it and it just quits back to windows. I had the same problem with the last version too but all other BMax games work fine. I wonder why this is? Any ideas? I have a Gefore4600Ti 512mb ram WinXP home and as I have said have no other problems with BMax games. I`m very curious as to why this doesn`t work for me. Jason. |

Wow - wonderful job - great effects, I love the glowing pulses and the ships tail blurs...fabtastic! IPete2. |
| ||
So everyones got it working apart from me :( Jason. |
| ||
same prob as quicksilva :( |
| ||
Thanks for the nice comments! :O) @QuickSilva&scribba Please download again... Greetings, taumel |
| ||
Taumel, just sent you an email, unfortunetly still no luck. Jason. |
| ||
Funny to see: 13% of those who downloaded yesterday are Mac users... |
| ||
Why is that funny? Isn't that about the proportion of mac users generally? |
| ||
I thought the Mac market share is smaller than 10% at the moment. Hmm would be interesting to see how many BlitzMax users are on win/osx/lin. |
| ||
Now that you mention it, I wonder if there are any other forum-goers like me, and if so how many. I use Blitz3D (and thus have a Windows machine, duh) but I use a mac for surfing the web (including this forum.) |
| ||
Taumel: So you've tweaked it a bit. I always said the graphics were amazing. |
| ||
This game looks really nice :D I'm sorry that I am not very talkative but this background made me crazy, my eyes are burning and I see stars everywhere... |
| ||
Thanks! @Grey Alien No it's the same one from 19.12.2005. I just had no more freetime. Actually i'm a bit unhappy with the Introsound as it was done in a hurry. Anyway i wanted it out... Greetings, taumel |
| ||
osx now at 9%... |
| ||
Cool game... |
