Hi ppl!
Today found that AMT Lab site has launced:
http://www.amt-lab.com
Currently there are 3 blitz library: water lib, particle lib and packer for resources.

All the best!
PS: I'm not in AMT Lab, so if you have any question feel free to contact them directly at support@...

Very nice page design. Products sound great, so far. I'd rather wait for screenies (animated gifs?) before I try a demo.

Picklesworth(Posted 2005) [#3]
Nice water effect :)

jfk EO-11110(Posted 2005) [#4]
It's a DLL, right? If it's not, the guy should post it in the contest thread.

Mustang(Posted 2005) [#5]
Arghhh... never ever do "under construction" pages! Add links only when you have the page 100% done where the link points.

Gabriel(Posted 2005) [#6]

Aren't you? Because you're the guy who posted about these systems the last time, and at the time you never mentioned them not being yours. In fact, I emailed you to ask you when the water dll would be released and you replied to me in email.

I was keen to purchase this, but with the confusion about who's who, I'm going off the idea fast.

@rtur(Posted 2005) [#7]
Gabriel
Authors of this libs are my friends.
You can contact them - Maxus (maxus@...)
Tormoz (tormoz@...)
Just want to help them with their libs.

I'm from Voodoo Dimention.
Currently working at www.TowerDefence.com game.

Gabriel(Posted 2005) [#8]
Ok, now I'm even more confused, because Tormoz posted on Coder's Workshop yesterday with word-for-word the same thing you've posted here, and he also claimed to have "found it" and that it wasn't his site.

@rtur(Posted 2005) [#9]
LOL
Tormoz just copypasted my post. His english not very good :)

@rtur(Posted 2005) [#10]
Maxus and Tormoz are authors. You can write them and ask. :)

Btw, my english not very good too :) So sorry for mislead.

puki(Posted 2005) [#12]
Ahh, snow particles - I'm too lazy to make my own and I do need snow.

Defoc8(Posted 2005) [#13]
looks quite good - i guess it might be handy for some folks.
- anyway, goodluck.

Wayne(Posted 2005) [#14]
I like the packer because it was clean and simple, but will it work ok with win98, winME, Win2000, WinXP ?
** Tested **
-Win98 ?
-WinMe ?
- Win2000 ok
- Win Xp ok

Can the packer support a password so I can protect my pak file ?

Can the Pak file be easily hacked ?

Are there any limitations I should be aware of when using the packer ?

Water demo is zipped, and other demos are RAR, any chance they can all be RAR or ZIP?

Maxus(Posted 2005) [#15]
1. Packer it was tested on all versions Windows of problems it is not revealed.
Win98 - ok
WinMe - ok
Win2000 - ok
WinXP - ok
WinXP64 - ok

2. At present the password is not supported, as files are crypted on a key, the key is formed under each file own.

3. So I think has answered at once and on the third question. Look above.

4. Restrictions are while it concerns only loadings .x and .pcx files, in new updating the problem will be removed.
As commands FindFileFirst [Next] - groups yet do not work.

5. Thanks for the help all is corrected, now all files are packed RAR.

Has forgotten to tell, on our site http://www.amt-lab.com there is a forum on which you also can discuss our programs.

Wayne(Posted 2005) [#16]
Is the follwing correct ?

Load .x files - no
Load .pcx files - no
Load .b3d - yes
Load .jpg - yes
Load .png - ?
Load .exe - ?
Load .bmp - ?
Load .txt - ?
Load .ogg - ?
Load .mp3 - ?
Load .3ds - ?
Load .wav - ?

FindFileFirst{Next] - no, not in current version.

When might new version be released ?

Maxus(Posted 2005) [#17]
Load .x files - in the furure
Load .pcx files - in the furure
Load .b3d - yes
Load .jpg - yes
Load .png - yes
Load .exe - in the furure
Load .bmp - yes
Load .txt - yes
Load .ogg - yes
Load .mp3 - yes
Load .3ds - yes
Load .wav - yes

FindFileFirst{Next] - in the furure

New version - soon.

Physt(Posted 2005) [#18]
How about an .exe in those demos?

Wayne(Posted 2005) [#19]
What versions of Blitz3d are supported ?

Are files in VFS only available to the running B3d application ?

Maxus(Posted 2005) [#20]
What versions of Blitz3d are supported ?
----- All version.

New Year's reduction of prices

In New year the new product will be accessible:

SinglMesh_AMT - DLL, allowing to create thousand objects in structure of one

meshes and emulating all commands Blitz to these virtual objects.
10000 dynamical objects are a reality!

www.amt-lab.com/svalka/singl_demo_AMT.rar - demoversion from 10000 objects.

Damien Sturdy(Posted 2005) [#23]
Am I right in saying this:

You are creating a DLL that creates meshes and the DLL allows you to use blitz' internal commands to control them?

if this is a case you could be close to breathing a new Era onto Blitz3D. How does it work?

Maxus(Posted 2005) [#24]
The same technology of direct access to memory Blitz at us is used in Particles system.
We create SinglMesh and we operate objects in it.

Damien Sturdy(Posted 2005) [#25]
I see- So it's a single surface engine run through a DLL? Excelent :D

Maxus(Posted 2005) [#26]
Yes.
Only formation Mesh is made by commands Blitz.

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#27]
Happy New Year!!!

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#28]
SingleMesh Demo only on the site: http://www.amt-lab.com

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#29]
We got a hundredth customer yesterday! In light of this we give 15% off all our products till the end of February.

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#30]
Soon there will be a UPDATE for PackLibB3D.
That new:
- Addition of Archive with EXE to a file.
- Work with loading .X and/PCX files.

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#31]
http://www.amt-lab.com/svalka/AIR_Ball.rar 2,16 Mb

This MiniGame demonstration work ParticleLib, SingleMeshLib by AMT Lab.
We are waiting for your opinion.

MadJack(Posted 2006) [#32]
If possible I'd like to see some of the code behind that game - how you've handled collisions, etc...

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#33]
Well this everything, is more who does not wish to express?
2MadJack - For what purposes the site of a code is necessary to you?

MadJack(Posted 2006) [#34]
2MadJack - For what purposes the site of a code is necessary to you?

Well, I've got a game well along in development (which uses animated meshes, several collision types, etc..) and I wanted to see how tricky it would be to overlay your functions on top.

Also - doing some testing with example 1, it seems to me that you get good speed increases with simple meshes - but anything more complex and using Blitz entities are faster?

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#35]
Then look demo SingleMeshLib

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#36]
I represent your attention an example of window VisualPackB3D.
VisualPackB3D - It's a visual editor Packs for PackLibB3D.

I wait for opinions that can add or remove.

Dreamora(Posted 2006) [#37]
error in water DLL: texture is lost when switched out of the demo by alt-tab.

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#38]
Lay out an example of a code which you use.
I seek errors and report you.

Mikele(Posted 2006) [#39]
Hi Maxus!
VisualPackB3D is good addon to Packlib3d.
Is it possible to add DLL to exefile?
What about crypting media?

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#40]
Pack3DLib It will be packed in EXE a file.
Others DLL while are not present, but I make researches.

Dreamora(Posted 2006) [#41]
Maxus: I used the water demo as it came with the download.
After alt tabbing the water is gone, only a redish "reflection like" texture remains where the actual water should have been.

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#42]
It does not concern in any way to use WaterLib.
Lack is available in Blitz with use CubeMapping, make any example, apply to model CubeMapping and after press ALT-TAB and you will see this BUG.

Am I right in saying this:

I purchased today and it uses replacement commands, but not all that would be needed. Texturing after creation will not work, collisions to. Maybe in the future ?

Mikele(Posted 2006) [#44]
Texturing after creation will not work, collisions to.

What do you mean?

lo-tekk(Posted 2006) [#45]
I use a particle-engine that may retexture particles (quads) at runtime with an animated texture, but after adding your quads to the amt-mesh you have no longer access to the particle without the replacement-commands.

Mikele(Posted 2006) [#46]
> lo-tekk
Ahh.. ok. Thanks for information.

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#47]
I purchased today and it uses replacement commands, but not all that would be needed.

More in detail you can explain in what require.

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#48]
2lo-tekk

Virtual entity belongs to one general mesh. Textured separately after addition of it is impossible.
Collision it is possible to do by mathematics

On everyone separate animated texture Blitz3d uses separate surface, it will be slowly. For animated texture use usual particles Blitz3d

lo-tekk(Posted 2006) [#49]
@Maxus

Thank you for the info.

Damien Sturdy(Posted 2006) [#50]
My god, Change the sig man!!!

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#51]

My god, Change the sig man!!!

It you about what?

t3K|Mac(Posted 2006) [#52]
yeah, just strip the spaces between the lines please / make the downloadbutton smaller. thanks!

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#53]
So will arrange???

xlsior(Posted 2006) [#54]
Tip: Animated gif's in your signature are a bad idea, especially when repeating them 4 times on top of that...

Red Ocktober(Posted 2006) [#55]
hey Max... thx for the fast processing of the order... i just looked at your Blitz code, and while it looks really handy for 'normal' projects and such, getting it to work in my lil OO engine is giving me a headache... the code is not modular at all, and although the examples in the demo seem pretty straight forward, i still can't get a simple particle emmiter to emit anything...

it's probably because i'm rushing with my main obsession (project), and not due to any fault in the particle code, but i had to revert back to my old particles system in the interim...

are there any necessary considerations i might be easily overlooking to make the AMT particles work...

thx

--Mike

I also wish some people would realize that some of us are still viewing in 800x600. These super-wide sigs induce a horizontal scrollbar - very annoying.

Maxus(Posted 2006) [#57]
Red Ocktober

It is necessary to see your code to understand, where at you a mistake.
Look examples of use of system particles and emitters.
Pay attention to the order of creation of the camera and connection of modules (include)

Hambone(Posted 2007) [#58]
I am considering the AMT PArticle System.

For tose people who purchased AMT's particle system: Is it any good, and in your opinion is it better/faster/easier than other particle systems you may have used?

Thanks,

Allan

Boiled Sweets(Posted 2007) [#59]
All I can say is Particle Candy is VERY good and the support is excellent.

Mustang(Posted 2007) [#60]
Particle Candy = NOT amt particle system.

Jake L.(Posted 2007) [#61]
For B3D get Particle Candy, it's easy to use and well coded and there are some editors for it. I tested a few and found PC the best and fastest.
